A special celebration of Eid al-Fitr for cancer Children: new Egypt initiative for solidarity and joy
Hospital 57357, Cairo – April 2025
In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and compassion, the New Egypt Foundation is preparing a special Eid al-Fitr celebration for the brave young cancer patients at 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital. With Eid just around the corner, the foundation’s board members and volunteers have come together to ensure this occasion is filled with hope, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
During a recent coordination meeting, board members and a team of enthusiastic volunteers gathered to plan every detail of the upcoming event. From scheduling activities to allocating resources and managing communication logistics, the team demonstrated a shared commitment to creating a joyful experience that respects the spirit of Eid.
“These children deserve more than treatment — they deserve happiness, dignity, and the chance to simply enjoy being kids,” one volunteer shared during the meeting.
The planned event will feature a range of engaging and age-appropriate activities, including:
Interactive games to promote joy and social connection
Arts and crafts stations to inspire creativity
Live entertainment to keep spirits high and energy flowing
Volunteers are working diligently to organize performances and surprises that will make the children feel celebrated and loved.
A central highlight of the event will be the distribution of Eid clothes and toys, specially selected for each child. The team is actively gathering donations and purchasing items to ensure that every child, regardless of age or condition, receives a personalized gift that brings a smile to their face.
“Eid is a time of giving — and what better way to give than to make a sick child feel seen, valued, and joyful,” said one organizing team member.
The clothing and gifts will be tailored to the preferences and needs of different age groups, ensuring every child feels included in the celebration.
This initiative is part of the New Egypt Foundation’s broader mission to support vulnerable communities through direct service, awareness, and volunteer-led events. It reflects the foundation’s belief in the power of community, kindness, and shared humanity — especially during meaningful cultural and religious celebrations.
The foundation welcomes public support and donations to help make this celebration even more impactful. To contribute Eid clothes, toys, or resources, or to volunteer for the event, visit the New Egypt Foundation’s website or follow their social media channels for updates and contact details.
