Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, welcomed a delegation from the New Egypt Foundation, headed by Major General Khaled Shafiq, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director, Dr. Ghada Ali, the Regional Director of the New Egypt International Group, and Mr. Mohamed El-Dowy, a member of the Board of Trustees. This meeting took place as part of the ongoing collaboration between Matrouh Governorate and the New Egypt Foundation in active community participation aimed at enhancing services and ensuring a decent life for citizens across the governorate.
During the meeting, the New Egypt Foundation presented Matrouh Governorate with 500 food boxes and 500 kg of meat. The event was attended by Dr. Dar Al-Salam Hussein, Director General of the Social Solidarity Directorate, Ms. Ragaa Salem, Director of the Technological Center for Citizen Services, and Dr. Ibrahim El-Demiri from the Matrouh Health Directorate.
The cooperation also included efforts to develop the health system in Matrouh, such as the maintenance of several medical devices, especially ventilators at Matrouh General Hospital, and improvements to doctors' housing. Additionally, the foundation contributed to the development of several health units, including the Sanusiya Unit, the Kilo 7 Unit in Marsa Matrouh, and the Naghila Unit.
In the context of expanding its community initiatives, the foundation is preparing to participate at the beginning of the upcoming school year by distributing clothes and school gifts to students in several schools, in coordination with the Directorate of Education and the Directorate of Social Solidarity.
Governor Khaled Shuaib expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the New Egypt Foundation for its active community role, particularly in distributing food gifts to the most needy families through the Social Solidarity Directorate and the Technological Center for Citizen Services. The distribution included 200 food boxes and 200 kg of meat for the Technological Center, another 200 for the most deserving families in Naghila City, and 100 boxes and meat for the Social Solidarity Directorate in Matrouh.
