New Egypt for Community Development Foundation celebrates World Environment Day with a field trip and educational program for 100 people with disabilities at Wadi El Rayyan Protected Area, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment.
As part of a cooperation protocol between New Egypt for Community Development Foundation and the Ministry of Environment, New Egypt for Community Development is organizing World Environment Day events to be implemented by the foundation's team and volunteers in the Wadi El Rayyan Protected Area.
These events, which are held as part of the foundation's celebrations of World Environment Day, aim to educate participants about the importance of nature reserves in Egypt and their role in preserving biodiversity, and to raise environmental awareness among participants and the importance of preserving the environment of nature reserves.
The events will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2024.
Commenting on these events, Mr. Mohammed Mustafa, a member of the foundation's Board of trustees, said: "We are pleased to cooperate with the Ministry of environment to celebrate World Environment Day in Wadi Al Rayyan Reserve. Through these events, we hope to raise the level of environmental awareness among the participants and encourage them to take steps to protect the environment of Egypt."
He added: "We believe that people with special needs and people of determination are an integral part of our society, and we are keen to integrate them into all our activities . We hope that these events will contribute to enhancing their self-confidence and their integration into society."
