New Egypt Group Explores Support for Hematology Unit at El-Wahat El-Bahariya Central Hospital
New York, NY — New Egypt Group Inc., a New York City–based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity, community empowerment, and access to essential services, has received an official request from the Giza Health Directorate regarding urgent medical needs at El-Wahat El-Bahariya Central Hospital in Egypt.
The request focuses on equipping the hospital’s Hematology (Blood Diseases) Unit, which serves patients in El-Wahat El-Bahariya, a remote and underserved region. According to the official correspondence, the hospital requires essential medical equipment to enhance diagnostic capabilities, patient monitoring, and overall quality of care for individuals suffering from blood-related diseases.
The requested items include patient treatment chairs, pediatric and adult monitors, syringe pumps, diagnostic devices, mobility equipment, and imaging technology—resources critical to the safe and effective operation of a specialized hematology unit.
“This request strongly aligns with our mission to fight poverty, advance equity, and strengthen critical infrastructure in underserved communities,” said a representative of New Egypt Group. “Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental pillar of community empowerment, and we see this as an opportunity to create meaningful impact through partnership and engagement.”
In addition to reviewing potential support for the hospital’s immediate needs, New Egypt Group has expressed a strong interest in introducing El-Wahat El-Bahariya Central Hospital to its broader community network, including donors, healthcare professionals, advocates, and partner organizations. By increasing awareness, the organization aims to foster long-term relationships that can support sustainable healthcare solutions and ongoing collaboration.
New Egypt Group plans to present this initiative to its Board of Directors as part of its broader humanitarian and health-focused efforts, with the goal of exploring funding opportunities, partnerships, and community-driven support.
Further updates will be shared as discussions progress and next steps are identified.
